Hamed Wardak and DJ Irie Celebrate the Irie Foundation

With four lanes of bumper to bumper traffic you could tell that the party was going to be packed and with Miami Heats DJ Irie hosting the event it was sure to be a blast. Not only is DJ Irie with the Maimi Heat, but he also spins for Jamie Foxx as well as local night clubs. Since DJ Irie wasn’t spinning, one of his Artist Related DJs did, which tells you what kind of crowd was present at the waterfront estate of Ludus CEO Hamed Wardak.

DJ Irie and Hamed Wardak teamed up to celebrate the efforts of the Irie Foundation, which “seeks to improve the lives of South Florida’s youth through educational and extracurricular opportunities that may otherwise not be available to them.” Earlier in the day, DJ Irie brought 78 kids from Madison Middle School to spend the afternoon munching down endless amounts of pizza and enjoy the swimming pool only to leave with their very own iPod.

To end the days festivities, 500+ people showed up to the Stoli sponsored evening. Among those attending were Micky Arison, CEO of Carnival Cruises and owner of the Miami Heat, Reggie Bush and Alonzo and Tracy Mourning.

Hamed Wardak & Ludus to Hold Fundraiser for Irie Foundation

Ludus Athletics is going to make a lot of inner city middle school students very happy during this holiday season.  Hamed Wardak and Ludus announced that with the help of the Irie Foundation, which was created by Miami Heat’s DJ Irie, they will help to organize the Christmas Fairytale fundraiser for 75 young students. In addition to DJ Irie, many celebrities are scheduled to attend the December 15th event, such as UFC’s Jon Bones Jones and Florida Senator Davis Aronberg.

Ludus

DJ Irie understands the importance of bringing the holiday spirit to underprivileged kids and has said that he “is extremely excited to co-produce this event with Hamed & Ludus. This time of year is all about spreading joy and goodwill and we share the same vision of a better South Florida through education and support of our youth.”

Ludus, an apparel brand inspired by the fashionable lively city of Miami, was created by Hamed Wardak. The Ludus brand embodies the young diverse nature of the city and aims to combine fashion and excitement into its pieces.

Hamed Wardak and the Blue Key Campaign

As CEO and founder of Ludus Athletics, Hamed Wardak understands the importance of keeping fit.  Ludus Athletics was designed to encourage individuals in sporting activities, give back to the community – especially refugees – through charitable events (such as The Blue Key Campaign) and generally developing a healthier lifestyle.

There are many ways to maintain and improve on your health and fitness.  One way of doing this is by consuming probiotics that maintains natural defenses and improves bacteria balance in the gastrointestinal tract.  Also, warm black tea is a great sickness deterrent – it shouldn’t just be consumed when one is sick but as a preventive measure as it is a great source of antioxidants. And while on the subject of antioxidants, blueberries are a powerful snack.

Of course, getting in shape by exercising is part of this plan too.  But it is also important to ensure that you’re not doing too much.  Be moderate; a daily cardiovascular workout is definitely good for a strong immune system but extreme exercise can increase the body’s vulnerability.

US-Afghanistan History in Light of bin Laden Demise

Hamed Wardak, in a recent article in Huffpost World, spoke about the death of Osama bin Laden, describing it as “one of the most singular moments of our lives. The man, whose death we do not mourn, launched terrorist actions around the globe and ultimately precipitated the involvement of United States (U.S.) forces in Afghanistan.

Afghanistan is where I was born, yet I have spent most of my life as a refugee because of external forces. My homeland has not known peace in more than 30 years, thanks to the Soviet invasion in 1979, the war of liberation against the Soviet occupation, the ensuing civil war, and the subsequent rise of the Taliban theocracy that supported bin Laden. Many of my fellow countrymen have also been forced to live elsewhere as refugees, but now is our moment to shine. The demise of bin Laden is simultaneously the dawn of a new era for Afghanistan. Consequently, we must seize this window of opportunity to build on progress made so far toward ridding the country of the Taliban and stabilizing it for a government that will be supported by the people.”

Hamed Wardak is an active Afghan, working for the betterment of relations between Afghanistan, Washington D.C. and the American People as well as the improvement in the quality of life for the people of Afghanistan.
