Improvements in Afghanistan’s Agriculture

Agriculture in Afghanistan looks set to undergo some major improvements.  Recent news is that nine hydrometric machines have been installed in Logar, an eastern province of the country.  This could potentially be extremely beneficial for agriculture in Afghanistan since it can assess how much water exists underground and the direction of the wind.  As well, this can “help Afghans determine drought levels as well as provide information for weather forecasts.”  It was the Czech Republic which funded this project, donating $230,000.
